This What’s new page
Every change players can see, newest first, from the link at the foot of the home page.
Chat messages you can open from a notice
A new chat message pops up at the top of the screen. Tap it to open the chat. All notices now show at the top.
See what your opponent is doing
When a player is taking a while, you can see why: typing, in the chat, in settings or switched away.
Rate Oware
Give the game stars and a review from the link at the foot of the home page. You can change or remove it later.
Ratings wait for a connection
If you rate the game while you’re offline, your rating is kept and sent when you’re back online.
Open games show up again
Some games were missing from “Your open games” and from “Back to the game” on the home page. They now show up again.
Play the computer while you wait
While you wait for a rated match, you can play the computer. The game isn’t rated, and you keep your place in the queue.
A back button on the game’s pages
Pages such as Learn to play, the daily puzzle, replays and your history have a back button at the top.
Playing the computer while you wait tells you if it can’t start
If a game against the computer can’t start while you wait for a match, you’re now told why instead of nothing happening.
“Offer a draw” comes back after the next move
After your opponent turns down a draw, you can offer one again once a move is made, without reloading.
Watching a game no longer takes a seat
Watching a game from an invite now always lets you watch, instead of sometimes taking a free seat.
Install the game as an app
Install Oware on your phone or computer and open it like any other app.
Tidier game header and theme previews
The buttons at the top of a game sit together, and you can preview a theme before you choose it.
Sharing a puzzle result links to the puzzle
Oware is live at playoware.com
Play a friend online with a link, with chat, voice and game clocks, or play the computer at several levels.
Rated games and a leaderboard
Sign in with a passkey to play rated games, get matched with players near your level and climb the leaderboard.
Friend leagues
Run a league with friends and see who comes out on top.
Daily puzzle and lessons
A new puzzle every day, lessons for newcomers, and stats with streaks.
Replays
Watch any finished game again move by move, and share it with a link.
Board themes
Kente and wood page colours, a Sirigu board, and a 3D Carved board with Adinkra symbols.

When your browser offers to install the game, it shows screenshots of what you’re getting.
